Cuil Bay, Duror
- Cuil turnoff from A828 south on Oban road is a
dead-end on lovely wide bay. Views south to Mull.
Great picnic spots near car park or walk on where
road ends and discover two further, even nicer beaches.

Ardsheal, Kentallen - On A828
park in the large layby at the head of the little
loch at Kentallen and walk along the road signposted
to Ardsheal house. An easy, characterful coastal
and woodland walk on a quiet tarmaced road. Lovely
gardens open in season at Ardsheal House (17.1)
- access to coast and possible to walk all the way
round to Cuil Bay. |

Sands of Morar nr Mallaig - take
signs to Mallaig from Fort William. Enjoy the Road
to the Isles and you end up at miles of sandy beaches.
Busy in parts but you will always find a quiet spot.

Singing Sands, Ardnamurchan -
cross the Corran Ferry, 01855 841243, (runs frequently
all day - last crossing Ardgour to Corran 7.50pm
or 8.50pm summer) follow signs to Acharacle and
then signs to Swordle - park at the end of the road
then walk or cycle 40 minutes along forestry/drove
road to reach a wonderful quiet beach with stunning
views to Skye and inner Hebrides. |

Kilmalieu - cross the Corran
Ferry (2.4) then pick up signs to Kingairloch. Where
the road meets the sea a long south facing bay stretches
out. Very quiet and a lovely picnic spot. Rocky
coast at the end perfect for exploring. |
